King

Description

King is a red-skinned tiefling with coppery horns and all-black eyes. He's slightly older than Mistake, and like her, was born and raised in Redfell. His name is in defiance of how tieflings are treated there. He tries to act as if he's no less privileged and powerful than the humans who run the city. He's somewhat proud of the fact that his hands are free of the scars the Redfell guards have given many of his friends.
Despite his usual boldness, his courage can fail in the face of likely consequences. He's hardly left the tiefling slums since his employment with Emmeraund Holdings was terminated. That there are no discriminatory rules to rebel against at Strixhaven has been difficult for him to comprehend.

Family

King has no siblings and helped with his parents' duties until he left for Strixhaven. He's part of the same friend group as Mistake, and over the last few years, has become particularly close with her. His influence helped convince her to stop thieving, despite how much she insisted the target deserved it.

Involvement

Year 1

When Mistake told him about the Burninghammer scholarship over winter, he hatched a plan. He'd previously helped her study for her own entrance exam, and began using the books she'd brought back from campus for his own. Only his parents were aware, until the mid-summer day he received the acceptance letter to both the school and the scholarship.
