Quentillius A. Melentor III

"I appreciate a person who can jump into someone else's skin at any moment. I pride myself on my ability to do the same."
— Quentillius A. Melentor III, Episode 3: The Orientation

Description

Quentillius is haughty and prideful, especially of his skills as an actor. However, he lacks the self-awareness to realize his elitist, classist, and racist attitude will only hold him back. He’s more likely to blame others for his failings than to recognize his own shortcomings.

Year 1 Involvement

Quentillius met Koss during Orientation and was immediately envious of Koss’ ability to shapeshift. He fairly quickly revealed his racism by referring to the time he had to play “a filthy tiefling”.   He auditioned for the role of Bastian in Lilith, and was a strong choice based on his acting ability. Koss intervened and warned Professor Zaffai that Quentillius’ racism could cause issues with other cast and crew members. Quentillius ultimately didn’t get the role, and was unaware of the exact reason why.   Quentillius was among the F Squad’s Oriq suspects and was invited to the Truth or Dare party. He confided in Koss that he blamed Mistake for not being cast in Lilith. During truth or dare, Koss’ Detect Thoughts spell revealed that he believes only certain races should be allowed in Strixhaven.   As the party turned more earnest, Quentillius lost interest. He paid his respects to Griff and left.
