Geography

Whip sits at the mouth of the Enola River. A narrow peninsula shelters the city from the north. At the point sits the largest lighthouse in Ros-Cala, Miros-glam. While a handy first line of defense, the narrow span of the peninsula allows but a short march to the Bay of Lenore - provided, of course, the would be attackers/smugglers/saboteurs make it that far in the first place.   Gentle hills covered in pastures and farmland separate the city walls and the Gretlewood by several miles, sweeping north to the banks of the Enola River and south along the coast.

Natural Resources

The Bay of Lenore provides an incredibly defensible position, as well as plentiful stocks of aqua-fauna within the bay and the southern reaches of the Myr-Ros just beyond.   The bay would not exist without the Enola River, which carries trade easily from far inland.   Fertile farmland separates Whip from the edge of the Gretlewood, the vast forest in which dwells the majority of the Breetian kingdom. These gently rolling hills, are dominated by blocks of pasture and row-crops which feed the nation with a domestic supply of crops impossible to grow within the Gretlewood's permanent canopy cover and regenerative properties.
