Arcane Library of Aarelan

The Arcane Library of Aarelan is renowned for being a repository of ancient arcane knowledge, with a focus on magical history, spells and lore. The Library is considered one of the most magnificent structures in the world, with its own floating island, accessible only by a crystal bridge. The Library is held in high regard for its vast collection of books, scrolls and artefacts, including some of the most powerful and dangerous artefacts within the Floating City of Aarelan, which are kept under heavy guard in the library's vault, accessible only to the Council of Nine and the Curator (the latter of which is the head of the Arcane Library).
The Library was established in 126:Contempt to not only store knowledge but also to train mages, and many of the members of the Council of Nine are alumni of the Library. The Library's focus on arcane and magical history, as well as its extensive collection of artefacts and spells, has made it a hub of research and study for mages, scholars, and researchers. The Arcane Library of Aarelan is a symbol of the power and knowledge that Aarelan possesses and is to be a respected institution amongst practitioners of the arcane arts.
