Atarsid Isles

The Atarsid Isles are home to the most northerly kingdoms within the Known World and are the largest known chain of islands. To the islands east is the Sea of Storms, the south the Outlaw Isles, the West the continent of Undras, and to the north are uncharted lands and seas.

Geography

Much of the Isles are deserts with the fertile lands surrounding rivers and oases, this differs to the southeast of the Isles where forests are common. Mountains are likewise common with the Suntouch Mountain, Great Range, and Scared Range being the largest.
The largest geographic feature of the Isles is the Black Mountain, a continuously erupting volcano which spews ash, lava, and suffer poisoning the air, surrounding lands, and the seas; the latter of which the Black Mountain has alter significantly, bringing the entire sea almost to boiling point and poisoning it with sulphur. The Black Mountain is far from natural, the volcano has always been its current form was twisted during the Age of Blood, or as it is known in the Isles The Golden Age of the Atarsid Isles, when a connection to the Elemental Plane of Fire was created.

Kingdoms

Within the Isles the dominant forces are the Atarsid City-States, Kingdom of Makthoria, and Kingdom of Sarvartar.
