Glynow Forest

The Glynow forest is a dark, mysterious place that is said to be connected to the darker parts of the Feywild, and is home to dark fey, undead, and other dark creatures, and is avoided by most of the island's inhabitants.   The Glynow forest is a vast, ancient forest that covers much of the central and southern parts of the Isle of Tor Bresell. It is known for its dense canopy of trees that obscure the sunlight, giving it a dim and eerie atmosphere. The forest is home to a diverse array of flora and fauna, including rare and exotic species found nowhere else in the world. The forest is also a humid place, full of bogs, geothermal gases, and pests.   The Glynow forest is also a place of danger and mystery. It is said to be connected to the darker parts of the Feywild, and many tales speak of fey creatures that roam the forest, some benevolent and but most malevolent. Some even say that the forest is haunted by the spirits of ancient people who once inhabited the island.   The forest is home to many dangerous creatures, including were-creatures (see Therianthropy), banshees, hags, quicklings, and other dark creatures. Additionally, mundane threats like wolves, bears, other predators, and insects that spread diseases. The forest is avoided by most of the island's inhabitants, who fear the dangers that lurk within its depths.   Despite the danger, some hunters and scholars still venture into the Glynow forest in search of knowledge or simple foodstuffs. There are also small communities of people who live on the fringes of the forest, relying on its resources but wary of its dangers.
