Tor Bresell

The Isle of Tor Bresell is known for its rugged terrain and harsh climate. The Wik River and River Bugos run through the centre of the island, providing a vital sources of water and food for the inhabitants. The Wik River is home to giant crocodiles and alligators, while the coast is home to giant sea monsters and kraken.The Tir'Malran mountain is home to giant eagles, griffins, and other threats. The Glynow Forest is a dark, mysterious place that is said to be connected to the darker parts of the Feywild, and is home to dark fey, undead, and other dark creatures, and is avoided by most of the island's inhabitants. The coast of Tor Bresell is rocky and treacherous, making it difficult for large ships to dock and fish.  

Peoples

The people of Tor Bresell are a diverse mix of races and cultures, with the largest population being the Ordess. Elves, Dwarves, Dryads, Kobolds, Dragonborn, and Lizardfolk also call the island home. The island is home to many towns and villages, each with its own unique culture and way of life.   The people of Tor Bresell are fiercely independent, and fiercely defend their home against invaders. Pirates of the Outlaw Isles and the Infernal-Draconic Ascendancy have both learned this the hard way, as they have faced fierce resistance from the people of Tor Bresell. The people of Tor Bresell have formed alliances, and together they attempt to resist the invaders and protect their home.   Despite the constant threat of invasion and attack, the people of Tor Bresell have managed to maintain a sense of community and unity. They come together to help each other during times of need, and they celebrate their shared culture and heritage with festivals and ceremonies. The people of Tor Bresell are proud of their home and will do everything in their power to protect it and keep it safe for future generations.  

Settlements

The largest or most important settlement thoughout Tor Bresell are listed below, this is not an exhaustive and many other settlement exist throughout Tor Bresell   Du Glynnow is a grim place, home to dryads and other fey creatures, as well as Elves, Gnomes, and Firbolg. The town is heavily militarised due to constant attacks from the creatures of the nearby Glynow Forest.   Garow Arvor is a small town that is currently occupied by the Infernal-Draconic Ascendancy. The town was captured by the Ascendancy during their invasion of Tor Bresell, and the town's inhabitants have been living under the rule of the invaders ever since. The people of Garow Arvor are not happy with the occupation and many have joined the resistance movement against the Ascendancy. The town is heavily guarded by the Ascendancy's soldiers and magic users, making it difficult for the resistance to launch any large-scale attacks.   Glan Powes is the trading hub of Tor Bresell, and is home to a large population of gnomes, as well as Elves, Humans, Firbolg, and Lizardfolk. The town is protected by ancient magic that allows the inhabitants to close off the river that runs through it, making it a valuable target for both the Infernal-Draconic Ascendancy and the pirates of the Outlaw Isles.   Heyl Wik is a coastal settlement located in the northeastern part of Tor Bresell in the Wild Isles. It is known for its strong Human population and its naval power, as it is situated on the coast and has a strategic location on the Wik River. The settlement has been facing increasing conflict with the Infernal-Draconic Ascendancy and the pirates of the Outlaw Isles, as they seek to expand their power and control over the Wild Isles.   Despite the challenges it faces, Heyl Wik is determined to defend itself and push back against the invaders. The people of Heyl Wik are fiercely independent and have a strong sense of pride in their community. They are determined to protect their homes and families from the threats they face, and have formed a strong navy to defend against the attacks of the Infernal-Draconic Ascendancy and the pirates of the Outlaw Isles.   In terms of its economy, Heyl Wik is heavily reliant on fishing and trade. The Wik River provides an important route for trade and commerce, and the settlement has a bustling port with a variety of ships coming and going. Additionally, the people of Heyl Wik are skilled at crafting boats and ships, which is a significant source of income for the community.   Heyl Wik has a diverse population, with humans being the largest ethnicity, but also has significant populations of Elves, Dwarves, and Dragonborn. The settlement is known for its inclusivity and tolerance of different races and cultures. This has led to a melting pot of different customs, languages, and traditions, making Heyl Wik a vibrant and culturally rich place.   In recent years, the people of Heyl Wik have come to see the settlement as a symbol of resistance against the invaders and a beacon of hope for the Wild Isles. They are determined to protect their community and to fight for their independence, no matter the cost.   Kooswikmor is a small village that is currently under threat of being besieged by the Infernal-Draconic Ascendancy. The village is located near the coast and is a major fishing hub for the Wild Isles. The village has a mediocre defensive position, with a natural moat and is not well-equipped to withstand a prolonged siege. The villagers have been fortifying their defences in preparation for an attack, but they are aware that they are outmatched by the Ascendancy's forces. Many of the villagers have fled to other settlements in the Wild Isles, leaving behind only a small number of fighters to defend the village.   Skeus Malran has a large population of Dwarves and Gnomes, and the settlement built into the base of Tir'Malran mountain. It is one of the few sources of iron on the Wild Isles and is home to a diverse population of Elves, Humans, and Goliath.   Tresva Bugos is known for having the largest population of Lizardfolk in the area, as well as a diverse population of other races. The settlement is unique in the Wild Isles for having the most harmonious relations between the draconic races and the other inhabitants. The Lizardfolk of Tresva Bugos are skilled in hunting and fishing, and are known for their ability to catch the elusive lizard-lion which is found only on the Wild Isles. The village is also home to a number of powerful shamans who are able to communicate with the spirits of the island and provide guidance to the community.
