Horra is worshipped primarily within the Atarsid Isles and is the head of the Atun-huni Pantheon

Tenets of the Faith

Horra is worshipped as the deity of the sun, heavens, and the creator of all of Runetalras. He is worshipped as the embodiment of the sun and Moons, and is associated with the life, warmth, and strength that is associated with them. Horra is also a deity of protection and royalty, being firmly tied to the ruling elite. The followers believe that all life flows from Horra (and Khui) and that it is their duty to protect the lives and safety of the faithful. They have a strong formalised church which centrally dictates philosophy and cannon.   The Cult of Ascendant Sun is hierarchical and strongly tied to the ruling elite. The priests of Horra are often members of the ruling elite and are expected to lead by example. They are often seen as powerful figures and are respected for their wisdom and knowledge. They often take on roles as soldiers, guards, and protectors, and are willing to make sacrifices in order to defend the cult and its followers.

Temples

The temples of Horra are grand and vast, they are ostentatious displays of wealth and power. They are adorned with gold, precious stones, and intricate carvings. In addition to traditional temple structures, the cult also builds pyramids and obelisks in honour of Horra, believing that these grand structures will please the deity and earn his favour.

Priests

The priests of the Ascendant Sun are oft drawn from nobility, and garb themselves in clothing the colour of the setting sun, and display gold jewellery with the symbols of Horra.
