October 2 - Back At It Again
General Summary
What Happened?
TWO MONTHS LATER.
We picked back up on The Greedy Treasure only a day out from Mudtown. Spotted on the horizon were three (3) large birds of prey with the head of a fanged stag - identified as Perytons, a monstrous creature with a preference for the hearts of magical creatures. Members of the crew and party with magical blood hid below deck as those that remained put up a show of force to shoo away the creatures. Without an easy delicacy in sight, the Perytons decided to return to shore for easier hunting.
Finally arriving in Mudtown, the party followed directions from Jeaks to proceed to the Wicker Goat to receive further instructions for their journey to Khundrukar. After a night and day of recovering, asking for information, and prepping, the party set off for the Stone Tooth.
They spent a day along the route southbound to Burle before following the westward path to the Copperlocks Mines. They spent two days traversing the Drowned Forest, a marsh accompanied by a thick fog of fungal spores, where they encountered peculiar fungi, a lone chained Zombie, some Blighted flora, and even a magic item safely retrieved from a Tar Ooze digesting it's meal before finally arriving at the gates to the mines and a warm place to recover.
