Sion's Noxian warband finally met its match on its westward push when it clashed with Demacia. While Noxus had a clear numerical advantage, Demacia's well-trained army and superior armament gave them the strength to fight back. The century of fighting between them had many victories for both sides, but Demacia ultimately freed its neighbors and, with their help, pushed Noxus back eastward.

Sion's Noxian warband finally met its match on its westward push when it clashed with Demacia. While Noxus had a clear numerical advantage, Demacia's well-trained army and superior armament gave them the strength to fight back.
  Over the next half a century, Demacia would end up freeing the countries of Central Valoran from Noxian dominance, pushing the Noxians back towards initial territories.
  After suffering a string of defeats, Boram Darkwill used his mages to reanimate their long dead hero, Sion. While he led to several victories, Sion's blood lust was deemed uncontrollable and Boram ordered for his imprisonment. Hundreds of warriors died trying to restrain him before he was finally bound in chains and dragged back to the Immortal Bastion. With Sion put away, Noxus ceased their hostilities towards Demacia and it's allies, and instead focused on other fronts.
