Borba

Borba is a Dragoon Village in East Ketterzan, controlled by Prince Oleg. The peasants have all been drafted into the Ketterzan Army and, although they are now treated with the rank and respect of soldiers, and no longer to pay taxes to the Tzar, they are very poor and ill-equipped. Unlike the Druzhinas, which have their equipment and provisions supplied for them by their princes, Dragoon Villages are required to equip themselves with weapons and supplies. Not only that, but they must answer any calls to war immediately, whether they are ready or not, or risk harsh penalties. Oleg's is not an empty threat, some other Dragoon Villages have been raised to the ground for failing to meet the call to arms, and are now no longer standing.
