Lake of Milk

In the Old Beliefs of Ruslavia, the Lake of Milk is a sacred place where the cattle-herding Milk Drinkers live. It is believed to be the source of all life, and the Milk Drinkers believe that drinking from the lake will give them strength and vitality. The Milk Drinkers are a group of nomadic catfolk who follow the migratory path of their reindeer herds. They believe that their homeland is the Lake of Milk, and that it is protected by the Mother of the Gods, Ajysyt, who they call the "Mother of Cradles". The Milk Drinkers believe that Ajysyt is the owner of the Golden Book of Fate, and that she can be consulted for important decisions. In the Orthobog religion, the Lake of Milk is considered a heresy, as it is associated with the worship of the Mother of the Gods, who is not recognized by either the Church of the White God or the Church of the Black God.
