The Conflict
Battlefield
Each side was based on one side of the glittering canyon in the centre of the valley. Sometimes one or other of them take the territory of the other, but both always left the well in the valley alone. It is the property of the Samovila, and neither side wants to wake the beast. When asked, each of the sides claimed the territory had been captured by the other side.
Outcome
The wise Witch Baboushka convinced both sides to agree to attend a peace summit. Both sides agreed to the terms of the The Peas Treaty of the Mushroom Wars and the war ended, with The Pea Kingdom taking the high branches of the Spruce Trees that grow on the banks of the valley for their territory, and The Mushroom Kingdom taking the lower trunks and roots for theirs.
Aftermath
The Peas Treaty lasted because it ensured neither side had a clear advantage. Although The Pea Kingdom gained the higher ground, The Mushroom Kingdom was closer to the roots that supply nutrients to the Trees and both kingdoms.

Glittering Valley
The Glittering Valley is a magical focal point near the border of the Forest of Frost. It is the home to a family of Timber Wolves, as well as a Samovila, who lives in the valley's well. It is also the battleground of The Mushroom Wars: an ongoing conflict between The Mushroom Kingdom and The Pea Kingdom.
