Personal history
Rania was the second child of King Elwin princess Aerith. From a young age she showed signs of easily understanding and using magic. Because of this she spent a lot of time studying magic as to always live up to the expectations people had for her.Rania set out to travel around Amberil and help people with her magical gifts. Her family were against her going out and mingling with the common folk and they feared for her safety as the elven war was still in peoples minds. Rania and her sentinel Haemir Crest spent many years traveling Amberil and during this time she became well liked by the people of Amberil.
Her life was going pretty stable. That was until her father died leaving Amberil without a leader until Talindrel would return to Citrinel to be crowned king. During those weeks she took over a bit of the duties and some people suggested that she should be queen instead of her brother. Rania merely laughed at the thought. Although they did not always see eye to eye Rania would never think of usurping her brother.
Talindrel was crowned king, but days after his coronation he was found dead in his chest in his chambers. Her brother had been assassinated. Rania barely got to mourn her father and brother before it was her own coronation.
But during her coronation her brother stormed though the doors in an undead state and stopped it, declaring himself the rightful king of Amberil. The days went by as the high priest and the holy counsel was trying to figure out who was the rightful heir to the throne due to the complicated circumstances. During these days Rania got a lot of support, though she feared Talindrels allies did not have the best intentions for magicians at heart. she heard whispers of herself being behind her brothers murder. She saw in his eyes that he himself believed the rumours. Not long after this all started her little sister Soliana disappeared. Rania Supposed her brother and the druids might have had some involvement in that.
In fear of the druids Rania fled to her friends the Crest family up north of Amberil. Her brother claimed the throne since she was absent and declared that all magicians would have to swear eternal servitude to the king and the druids or be executed.
Rania refused standing by her beliefs that magic is an art form and technology that shall be free to use for all and that people not, enslaved or used to oppress those who cant use it. Her friends the Crests also refused, putting themselves in the kings radar especially because they were well known friends of Rania. Some years after her brothers ascension to the throne Castle crest was sacked and Rania was captured and executed in Citrinel.
