Philosophical Transactions of the Imperial Society

The first and most recognized peer-reviewed academic journal in Samarya, established by the academic network known as the Imperial Society.

Structure

Researchers from across Samarya pay to submit manuscripts to the journal's reviewers. Reviewers may immediately reject a manuscript, or edit it back and forth with the original author until sufficient. Once approved by the reviewers, the article is published in the academic journal "Philosophical Transactions of the Imperial Society", which releases new editions every season. Subscription to said journal is upwards of 1,000 gold per year, though copies of previous editions can be found at major libraries.

Public Agenda

The goal of the Imperial Society is to share knowledge in a variety of academic fields, including zoology, archaeology, botany, arcane arts, artificing, and engineering.

History

Miabella submitted a manuscript detailing her observations of various monsters and creatures throughout the Jangalee Forest, including the celestial serpent guardian Dianmu. Her manuscript was immediately rejected due to the implication of the existence of dragons, a species of demigods long understood to be extinct.
