Granny Gardenbeetle
Tales tell that somewhere deep in The Unders a beetle of crystal climbs the walls. Skittering through the darkness. And inside, an elderly crone of a woman. Traveling and tending to mildew farms. Secret places where she cultivates unique strains of rot. She'd as soon feed you to the molds as speak to you. Granny Gardenbeetle is missing one eye, but seems quite aware all the same. As often is the way, those who give up one form of sight are granted another. This hag is no exception, she can see what you will become and it would almost seem as though she speaks it into being. One must be warned. She will tell you of your greatest heights, but rarely warn you of the deeper falls it will lead you to.
Her skills with mildew and fungology are nearly unmatched. Granny's Recipe Book is an unrivaled resource for potion making. Her secrets to crafting everything from a curative to the fall of an empire in a draught, collected together. Or so the rumor goes, no one has ever seen inside the great crystal beetle. But her recipes must be there.
Granny cares for everyone who seeks her out. If you come to her offering earnestly of yourself, in need. It would please her greatly to help you. Perhaps for a firstborn child, or a loss of a memory.

Exo was born into servitude to Granny Gardenbeetle. He never knew any family beside her, though he supposedly had one. When she released him it was with all due kindness at the end of the 100 years bargain.
