House of the Golden Eyes
This is one of the oldest houses in Sanctuary. It is home to a sometimes reclusive family rumored to have once been royals in times gone past on the surface. They’ve remained uninvolved with much of the courtly works of the city, preferring to keep to their own. Happy to simply be citizens of this city, their interests have turned to the mercantile rather than political.
Defenses
The estate is known to have protective magic about it. Divinations are apt to fail within the walls. Because of this, it is difficult to know what might be lurking within as far as defenses. But the family is extensive, many of them are trained as most aristocratic sorts are in a modicum of combat. Though if they've ever seen more than a street scuffle would be hard to say.
History
This house was built by the O'Mirandas when the city expanded. Their previous home in Old Town no longer large enough for the re-established family it made sense to build their own manor. Though they don't speak on how wealthy they might be, they seem to have money when it counts and it afforded them a place in the Diamond District .
Decades later it turned out their choice of location was serendipitous. A deep vein of a novel enchantable mineral became exposed during an earthquake. It was an untapped and unexpected resource, but their ease of access to it has been a big part of what solidified the O'Miranda family in Sanctuary.

Nestled in the Uppers, this noble house has stood since the founding of Sanctuary. While once it may have been prominent, it now is only a minor house. Often not even worthy of note.
