The Creeping Oasis
A sprawling saloon built atop the back of a Scarolith.
Purpose / Function
The creeping oasis primarily serves as claystown's saloon and gaming house, however, the men and women that reside there are well known in the territory for their company. Many locals also consider the oasis the only place for miles where someone can get a decent meal.
Alterations
Over the years the saloon has undergone numerous alterations. what began as little more than a two room shack has been upgraded with a kitchen, full bar, a notably larger gaming parlor, two guest rooms, six sporting rooms, a heated bath house, and saw graces dream of adding a double staircase shortly before her death.
Defenses
Though few cause trouble at the creeping oasis the staff are well armed and the skatolith itself has been known to assistin dealing with large predators.
History
the creeping oasis was built by Grace Dennings in 1722. Grace was an avid card player and, seeing that there was no saloon in Vickson began work. Soon she opened with a small dirt floor parlor and a room for herself. Over the next several years she used her winnings to add floors to the hilltop saloon along with a kitchen.
Grace initially refused to allow sporting in her saloon, but not long after beginning her friendship with a young Jolene in 1764 she allowed the practice under very strict rules and her ever watchful eyes.
When Vickson eventually negan its decline into a ghost town the skarolith begantraveling noth, much to Jolene's shock, eventually coming to settle in Claystown in 1790. Shirtly after the journey Grace became ill and passed away six months later. Upon her death she left the saloon to Jokene.

Tourism
The saloon found moderate fame during its initial years in vickson, but settling into the booming hub of claystown led the Creeping Oasis to become a common name throughout the eastern territory.
