Durnhalla Mountains
Meaning 'heaven' or 'home' in ancient Dwarvish, the Durnhalla mountains have stood longer than time. Legend states that the powerful Dwarves of old delved deep into the earth, and hollowed out the entirety of the underworld. After discovering nothing but death and fire below the ground, they built Durnhalla far above, in an attempt to reach the sky. Rich in gold, silver, copper, iron, and mithril, the mountains share their bounty with any wise enough to harvest it. The mountains hide many secrets, armies worth of blood, and riches to feed the world's lust for gold thousands of years into the future.
