Toclomar

Ancient and powerful, forever.

The original kingdom of Man, just in its sovereignty over the world. Deserving more, content with less, the people of Toclomar are the most ancient and cultured civilization in Saramoth. Ruled by the true sons of King Marothsa the first, Toclomar is the second most powerful kingdom in the world.

Structure

Ruled by kings, distantly related to the line of King Marothsa. Kings rule above the dukes of cities, and nobles of larger, less populated regions. There are currently 3 dukes : those of Sternham, Afalas, and Billsbrille. Also 2 Nobles, ruling Hilby and the sorrounding area, as well as pigo and the nearby countryside.

Preservation of ancient culture, benefit of its peoples.

Assets

Large amounts of cleared land, expansive forests, good sealanes and a large inland lake. Toclomar also has terrific relations with the Dwarves of the Durnhalla mountains, and the goblins of the Gleb sea.

History

Founded in 511 after the Great War, a civil war which destroyed the ancient kingdom of Saramoth. Toclomar failed to establish citizen rights for the Dwarves after the war, as it had promised, the Dwarves attacked the goblin city of Zeyph in an effort to spark a second war between Toclomar and Westerel. Both Westerel and Toclomar promptly washed their hands of the matter, and puttered around seeking 'diplomatic solutions' and offering aid to their subjects in the form of 'technical advisory'. After the war, Toclomar did grant the Dwarves their citizen rights, and was the first country to do so. Toclomar did the same for resident goblins in 555, after the founding of Goblin M&M&S.

From the southern frost forest, to the central mountains. also owns forbidden isle.

Military

Weak & Decorational. The Low guard is a militia organized per town (>5000 pop), and the Middle Guard a drafted force per city. The High guard is the only professional force, residing in Capitol.

Technological Level

Middle ages, circa 1200.

Foreign Relations

At peace with all kingdoms. Alliance with Elves is broken. Main peacemaker between Goblins and Dwarves. Manipulator of Hobbits.
