Ozus
Other than, that Ozus didn’t know his biological father, his childhood was pretty normal. There was no bias from the community at all. As a Tiefling, they treated him as one of their own.
Ozus was athletic, a good student, a deep thinker and as a youngster a real asset to the community. Someone you want to call a friend. The future was his for the taking.
Hecca, his mother, was an adventurous woman. When she saw the first chance to find adventure, she took it. Seduced, and tricked by a devil, she found herself with child. An outcast to the community during her pregnancy. She fled and headed to the forest, the one that everyone feared. Befriended Fey & woodland creatures.
Ryker, his step father, was the local blacksmith and a well sought out bladesmith. He had fought in several wars and was highly devoted to his deity. A very religious man, some say he was a living example of what a holy fighter should be.
Ozzun, his father was a Devil. There are a lot of rumors about him, some true, some exaggerated. It is hard to sift between what are rumors and truths. One thing is for has been upheld, he was from Phlegethos, the fourth layer of hell.

Contacts & Relations
When Ozus and Rälzik were about to reach manhood, their friendship almost ended, over a rapier. Ozus' father Ryker has been commissioned to make a Rapier for some local nobility. Rälzik was, shall we say, smitten by the weapon. He coveted the Rapier, and even helped Ryker balance by practicing with it. It spoke to him, it held some kind of possession over him. Rälzik decided he would steal it, hide it, keep it and when it was time to go it would protect him. He would make it famous.
Ozus, through a series of close observations, believed that Rälzik had very strong feelings for his father's finely crafted blade. He was also aware, the Rälzik would do something stupid and naive as stealing it.
Ozus deduced that Rälzik would take the Rapier in a few days' time shortly after graduation. He knew, unlike him, that Rälzik wanted to travel, see the world and go on adventures. He had grown up tough, strong, smart, but lacking the funds to go to school further. His parents weren't as settled as Ozus's. There have been some tough times. Though the community supported them, there was still that overhanging feeling of guilt for lacking the essentials for comfortable life. So it made sense for Rälzik to have these feelings.
