Master Godfroy Clearbend
A devout follower of the pantheon of gods of his home nation of Cosha. His heart is always calling him to sea, not just because his family have been traders of salt for generations. He makes regular offerings to the four major gods, the king of the gods and master of fate, and a smaller but much more specific offering to the Matron of Sailors.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Straight light grey-blue hair hung over a strong face. Glinting carmel eyes, set graciously within their sockets. His fair skin and groomed mustache gracefully compliments his eyes. He stands gracefully stoic among the other sailors, the true picture of a Master and captain despite his cut muscled frame and line warn hands.

Personal history
Socially presenting himself as a dutiful son, very hard working, and always trying to please his family. This tendacy does get him into many jams, but he always believes that the gods have big plans for him.
Sexuality
While his family has instilled the expectation of producing many heirs, he has never met a anyone who has turned his head. Avelot caught his attention by being a strong-willed woman in an oppressive household, but while he has affectionate feelings for her, he does not really feel physical attraction as a whole. After they have one daughter, however, he becomes injured and suffers sterility. As he's pressured to bear sons in a family where women are seen and not heard, an unusual mentality in their culture and also something he secretly rebels against if his choice of wife is any indication, he becomes very nervous that she will seek a consort, as her merit starts to rival his own. Eventually he is stripped of his title as husband, but agrees to become a consort to keep ties with his daughter, but also because he still has feelings for Avelot, though their sexual relationship is ended as his interest in physical intimacy was for children alone.

Earned his merit on the ships of his family's business and quickly rose through the ranks of the ships becoming the youngest Master in his family's history.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Known as being a shrewd and calculating captain, known for bringing in very large cargoes turning for the company great profits every time he arrives a little late for his return time. His sailing ships were known for in a good wind for out running many steamers with the same load of cargo. He was the youngest Master to sail the family flagship THE GILDED ENVOY and still held the record profit for that ship's whole history.
Failures & Embarrassments
Due to the way his seamanship with his ships, most of the time the ships have to go in to refit due to the strain on the masts. The foundering of THE GILDED ENVOY would have destroyed most Masters but due to the cargo value that was recovered the ship still made a profit even with the loss.
