Desert People Human

The Desert People are a nomadic group, descending from an ancient kingdom they now roam around Valenor searching for their lost cities. It is said that their kingdom lies underground, and is still full of gold and powerful artifacts.

The Desert People appear much like any other human. However, their skin is noticeably darker. Their hair is typically black or brown, and grays or whitens with age. Their eyes typically appear brown, though blue and green are also common. Uncommon colors include hazel, teal, and gray; violet, gold, and silver are rare shades.

Relations

While the Desert People typically prefer to stick with their own kind, they are more than welcoming of those who prove themselves friends. They have a distrust of Grey Dwarves , Velshadir Shadow Elves, and other races that tend to live underground, but are capable of overcoming these biases.

Alignment

The civilized society as a whole tends to be Neutral or Lawful Neutral. Nomads tend to be Neutral to Chaotic Neutral. Of course, each individual is capable of anything from Lawful Good to Chaotic Evil.

Lands

They are a group of nomads, descendants of an ancient kingdom that occupied what are now the "desert lands". Today, they wander the sands in search of their ancient lost cities, traveling across Valenor in search of their lost brothers, those who left their homes before the catastrophe. If they could get information from them, they hope to find their lost homes. Little is known of the primitive inhabitants of the region from which the People of the Desert descend, and what little is known comes from rumors, legends and chatter gathered around the hearths of the bivouacs of the caravans who still have the audacity to venture among those lands. They tend to coalesce and build cities near the few rivers and oases in the desert. However, anywhere there is enough water to survive, the Desert People thrive. Nomads are also common, herding their Khelifer and herds from place to place, often trading goods for extra coin.

Religion

The Desert People tend to worship nature deities, such as Danu, the Mother of All, Goddess of the Forest and Leida, The Most Harmonious, Goddess of Winds and Sailors. They also worship the god of Sardar the Bloodhanded, God of War. Above all else, though, they venerate Arva, the Goddess of Sun and Light , the goddes of the Sun.

Language

The Desert People speak Rodihan. They also usually know the Merchant Slang for trade purposes.
