Witches of Cradleseed

They are a secret coven of Witch of the Forest (following the Green Man aspect), accepted and respected by all Sindran Green Elves and Arborean Sun Elves.

With strong ties to the Church of Danu, they are independent of their hierarchy, following a more old and strange version of the cult.

The Witches of Cradleseed are the only people who know the secret of growing Steelwood, an even stronger version of the more common Ironwood plant.

The witches of Cradleseed are also famous for creating potions and spells based on herbs and plants from the forest, and this knowledge is in great demand among other elven communities.

They have a secret ritual that they must follow in order to gain access to the knowledge of steelwood, its use and its cultivation. This ritual requires taking a special elixir and participating in a ceremony where witches dance around a sacred tree.

Nymue is a notable figure in the coven, she is the Keeper of the Sacred Tree, who serves as spiritual guide and holder of the oldest secrets of the Danu cult.

The witches of Cradleseed are sometimes in conflict with other elven communities or organizations that seek to harness the power of the Steelwood for selfish ends. This sometimes creates tense and struggling situations where witches try to protect their knowledge and power.

The witches of Cradleseed are able to control the animals of the forest thanks to their spells and their knowledge of herbs. Therefore they are also highly respected by the other animals and creatures of the forest, who see them as guardians and protectors of their natural habitat.
