Session 35
General Summary
22nd of Ranger's Scythe - During travel discussing the events earlier in the day, hear someone speaking from the bushes, asking if we are with the army. After confirming we are not, he introduces himself as Ulfr Holgata and in need of brave adventurers.
Traveling on, he explains that he was once part of Clan Varg, but was banished around 3 years ago for not following the clans predestined path of becoming a shaman, has lived in the forest since. One day felt called, and saw the armies within the clans territory, which they normally don't allow, needs help investigating these strange circumstances.
Come upon a scout and his wolf upon the road, who after being explained why we are there, asks us to come along to meet the clans leader. Beska manages to distract him and the wolf to allow us to sneak away, but are engaged by another scout on a cliff above. During the combat, Ulfr shows off his barbarian fighting and partially transforms into a wolf.
After arriving in his camp, Ulfr explains further that when he saw the armies moving through, he felt the need to go to their ritual cave named Iskjørka. After arriving, they saw a glowing silhoutte in dark chains with red glyphs & heard bells. The rest of the party discuss the possibility of this being work of the Bellfaced Demon. Ulfr only gained the newly displayed rage powers afterwards, and has a small ping of Elemental with DG&E. The clan Varg spirit could well be an Elemental Spirit, who blessed Ulfr.
Settling down for the night, Beska and Scribe in Astoro's Abode. Ulfr took first watch, before he saw a group of clan members emerge from the bushes.
Notes
The dark chains the Varg spirit is bound in could be the reason for Bellface to have been in the Blood Iron mines.
