The Fact Faction
The Fact Faction is a division of W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P. tasked with spreading truth and combatting lies. It was established mainly when the organization known most popularly within WILLOWISP as "The Opposing School" began to wreak havoc in the world. It is unknown how long the group has been in existence, but WILLOWISP detected the prevalence when the company opened up Contraria Academy) to the public. The ultimate goals and intent of The Opposing School are unclear. To the outside world, the seemingly trivial actions taken by the company are nothing to worry about, but W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P. believes their plans are bigger and more ominous than they lead on. This is why the Fact Faction was implemented, to make sure that whatever the Opposing School is trying to do will fail. Some WILLOWISP operatives suspect that WILLOWISP knows more about "The Opposing School" than they reveal to their employees, otherwise, they question WILLOWISP's involvement in the whole matter, wondering why the agency is spending time, money, and resources on such minuscule matters.
Public Agenda
The Fact Faction is not publicly exposed, but does hide under a school, much like Contraria Academy. This school enrolls normal children to observe, but some that are viewed to have specialized skills are chosen to join the Fact Faction under SPO
History
This branch of W.I.L.L.O.W.I.S.P. is rather new and was built mainly to combat the actions of Contraria Academy.
Commander McCox gives newbies the rundown: The Fact Faction sounds like some kind of middle-grade caboodle of adolescents questing forth to set the record straight on several misconceptions in the world, doesn't it? Well, you got the right idea. That is exactly what this is. Only more complicated and secret spy-esque and all that. Disguised as an after-school program called SPO, these kids have the coolest homework assigments and most far-out field trips you can imagine. I'm talkin' everywhere from Antarctica to the moon and back in time to catch youf favorite cartoons before dinner. They even investigate Bundt Cake. Man. I wish I was as cool as these kids.
Interesting answer to the prompt, where the "belief" is in an enemy rather than a god or ideal. The sidebar reminds me of cartoons with kid heroes, which is fun.
thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the article and yes. This is kinda the kid...spin off??? if you will? of my spy world. If it were a show or a book series, it definitely would be a show cartoon with kid heroes ;D
