Spellbinder-Necromancer Hybrid

Spellbinder-necromancer hybrids are rare, but usually uniquely-powered beings that combine the destructive potential of spellbinder magic with the mental manipulation inherent to necromancers. Due to spellbinders and necromancers already being similar, they often present as one of their parents' species without issue.   Sometimes, the parents' powers combine, and other times, they are simply born powerless. The latter group are more capable than most of putting on muscle mass, as they're not using magic like most spellbinders or necromancers. Known powers that have resulted from spellbinder-necromancer hybridisation:   Illusionism: The result of lumomancer and possessor necromancy, a case of mental manipulation combined with holographic projection that can result in deeply convincing illusions. While illusionists cannot directly possess or innately shoot searing beams, they needn't with enough creativity.   Fire Wight Raising: The result of a pyromancer and zombie-raiser, this leads to an ability to raise unique, fireproof, deadly zombies, albeit fewer than a necromancer would be able to raise of regular zombies.   Death's Touch: The ability to slowly drain the temperature from a victim's body that results from a cryomancer and a possessor breeding, in some cases shown to be involuntary. A despised magical type that has led to a taboo against cryomancers in necromantic culture.   Due to spellbinder and necromantic culture both valuing blood purity, sometimes the integrity of such hybridised powers can persist far down the family tree until eventually, the possessors of the power don't even know they're hybrids.
