The Iron Guard is the name given to the group of soldiers and mercenaries employed by the
Iron Guild to serve as the town guard and peacekeeping force of
Ahonato. Although the Iron Guild is paid fairly well by the
Hisashi Clan, a disproportionately low amount of the money makes it to the Iron Guard. Being as underpaid as they are, they are always looking for other ways to earn coin.
Appearance
The official uniform of the Iron Guard is black armor with a single silver colored pauldron on the left shoulder. The
Iron Guild doesn't actually pay to supply guard members with this uniform however, so the actual appereance varies from person to person. Those who are well off or higher in the guard might have proper black armor and a shiny metalic pauldron, while others just paint whatever cheap leather armor and pauldron they can get a hold of in order to join. Members carry whatever weapons they own or can otherwise get their hands on, making them appear even more rag tag as a result.
