Mirin's Pass
Geography
The pass is relatively flat in most places, although the terrain itself is rocky and the footing is uneven sometimes. Little to no climbing is necessary durring the entire 15 to 20 days it takes to navigate on foot. The pass is wide enough in most places for groups as large as 20 or 30 to move side by side, though it becomes considerably more narrow near the western edge, tight enough in some choke points to the point that only 2 or 3 could fit through at a time.
History
Parts of the pass had been used by early explorers for many years prior, but the route became considerably more popular during the early rise of Shudan when trade between the new country and the Jade Empire began to flourish. The route was given it's name in this time, after the trader who popularized it.
In B13, the pass was held by Ono the Eastwind and his soldiers to bring an end to the war between Shudan and Nobumori.
In B43, the pass was used by Kansa the Eastwind to visit Nobumori and eventually bring an end to the effects of The Break.
Sometime around S200 the pass was swallowed by The Fade.
