Shadow's Hold
The Shadow's Hold is the small library within the Temple of the Dark Goddess. It primarily houses religious tomes and artifacts, but also contains works written about fiends, monstrosities, undead, and other creatures often associated with evil or darkness.
There are a five shelves stuffed full of books of all shapes and sizes, with seemingly no system of organization in place. Several of the books are written in obscure languages.
On the west side of the room is an open archway that leads back to the rest of the temple. On the east wall a trio of artifacts are displayed. The first is the Holy Symbol of the Martyr, an old looking black crescent moon charm hanging on a black chain. Next to that is the Shadow Splitter, a heavy looking battleaxe made from some kind of metal with a matte black appearance. Farther north on that same wall hangs Shadow Weave, a small rug with a woven pattern of black, blue, and gold.
On the northern most end of the room, sitting on top of a simple looking pedestal, is a tome bound in black leather, filled with black pages covered in barely legible black ink.
