Kutaufi
The Kutaufi are the "good" deities that reside on Nimbus. While technically all the deities are part of this organization, the name usually refers to the five eldest deities, each of whom sponsors a mountain range where the Scyll live. These mountain ranges tend to be known for talent in their patron deity's domain (for example, the Luze range is known for having a rich supply of smeltable metals). Whether these deities chose these specific ranges because of their environment, whether they reshaped these ranges to suit their talents, or whether the choices are mere coincidence is a matter of great debate.

Nimbus and all the living creatures therein were created by two primordial beings known as Mere and Engrat. While the two worked in harmony for a while, Engrat eventually became obsessed with being better than Mere. Eventually, Engrat’s jealousy reached a boiling point, and they killed Mere. This sparked a long war between the forces of the Kataufi and the forces of Engrat.
Engrat was renamed Taklin, and they, along with their supporters, were banished to Omewingo, an area under the ground. In order to protect Scyllkind from these forces, the Kataufi guided them to the tops of mountain ranges, and Fulrhu created a barrier of clouds and storms to dissuade any who would try to climb the mountains. (For more details, see The World-Coming-To-Be Tale)
Common knowledge is that all of the Kataufi were created by Mere, but this may not necessarily be true. The Kataufi are very silent on much involving Mere, Taklin, or anything related to their war against Omewingo and its inhabitants.

Priesthood
Temples scattered over Nimbus can be dedicated to one or several deities. They serve as a place for the deities to rest, converse with priests, and receive gifts.
Some temples also perform other functions. For example, temples, to Kidkie and Narar officiate wedding ceremonies while temples to Varani double as hospitals and clinics. Actual priests are rare, as working in an occupation under a deities purview is considered worship by the Scyll.

The Nibilfi
The Terkluin-Nibilfi (those who listen to the ground) are a small offshoot of the main Scyll worship of the Kutaufi. Instead of worshipping the creations of Mere, they worship Mere directly, believing that they are still alive in some form within the planet of Nimbus. To this end, they conduct elaborate ceremonies at auspicious times of the year (on the solstices, when both moons are full, etc.) in order to receive a response from Mere and stir them from their “slumber”. So far, their attempts have been unsuccessful, and they are seen by most other Scyll as a nuisance. However, the Kataufi themselves have neither ordered nor taken any direct action against them.I guess I can see their logic. It’s very, very difficult to kill a spirit, especially one as powerful as Mere was. I’d like to think they’re still around too. So, I wish the Nibilfi the best of luck.
