Defences

Essdale is enclosed in a Sacred Barrier that prevents lightspeed travel and teleportation but is not the only way into the city. The city is patrolled by the Cherubim, Angelic beings with 4 animalistic faces and 4 wings that boast incredible power and are Deathless, save for Rainbow Diamond (Esoteric Flames). On the ground is the once-great military force, the Knights of Essdale. They suffered considerable loss during the Siege of Heaven and because of the Cherubim, are unable to replenish their supplies or troops. However, should the previous two obstacles be removed, one would still need to overcome the Lords of Timber, the 3 sons of Her Grace, Hasadiah.

Guilds and Factions

• The Lords of Timber

The Lords of Timber are the three Heirs of Her Grace, Hasadiah, The First Name of God and her consort, David, King of Kings. They are Linor, Sayfan, and Gavriel, but are better known as their regal names, Godfrey the Golden, Godwyn the All-Knowing, and Godrick the Blighted. They protect The Throne of Yggdrasil, ensuring no one may sit upon it without passing them.

• The Knights of Essdale

Lords and Ladies dedicated to The Church of Grace charged with protecting Essdale from any and all invasion or attack efforts, regardless of who they may be. They work with the Lords of Timber but only answer to the Church directly.

• 1st Triad, 2nd Chrior: The Cherubim

Angels who only obey the Word of God, continuously following Her Grace, Hasadiah's last orders, which were to guard Essdale against all foreign forces. Until another Name of God is chosen, the Cherubim will not do anything but. Because of this, the Church of Grace cannot deploy more Knights to Essdale because the Cherubim view them as a foreign threat.

History

Essdale was founded by Her Grace, Hasadiah when she first became a Name of God, being the place where she sat on the Throne of Yggdrasil. The city was built around the throne and served as her capital for all of Yggdrasil. It is also where she was married to David, King of Kings. During the Siege of Heaven in which The House of Iscariot launched an attack on Essdale, Hasadiah was killed and with the last of her power sealed off this City to prevent greedy hands from stealing the Throne.
