Artifacts

  • The Book of Secrets (A Majikal Grimoire which houses the sum total of all the Knowledge Lord Godwyn accumulated in his time.)
  • Mind & Thought (Two Majikal owls which can traverse all of Yggdrasil, reporting whatever they see back to their Lord.)
  • Gungnir, The Swaying One (A great spear that never misses its mark and can sway weak-minded opponents to Lord Godwyn's will.)

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Lord Godwyn choose a Golden Owl as his Divine Symbol, one with it's wings outstretched, preparing to take flight in search of greater knowledge to share with the cosmos. His two pet owls, Mind & Thought, could often be seen resting on his shoulders as he studied what secrets they brought back to him.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Lord Godwyn, Second Born son of Her Grace, Hasadiah The First Name of God, persides as the God of Knowledge & Intelligence, seeking to know all that there is to know, accumulating his many findngs in The Book of Secrets.

Physical Description

Special abilities

The power to alter the forms/structure of matter/energy. Godwyn can alter or transform matter, energy, elements, objects, and beings (animals, aliens, mythical beings, etc.), etc into anything else, either completely or partially, permanently or temporarily, including himself. This action can be done without the aid of Magic, differentiating it from Magical Transmutation which has far more limitations. That being said, Godwyn can only turn something into some other thing that already exists. The user possesses the power of prophecy; the psychic power to receive prophecies through visions and information that can take the form of messages from higher powers, such as cosmic or divine entities, with most of those entities possessing the power of prophecy themselves as a direct link to the source of those visions and messages.

Specialized Equipment

  • The Over Sword of Asgard
When Sayfan was still on the younger and foolish side, he convinced Aund KYSYN to create the destruction of the Multiverse, which Aund KYSYN did. Sayfan took this raw immeasurable destructive energy and confined it into his sword, the Over Sword of Asgard. This ensures that nothing can ever actually destroy Yggdrasil until the sword is drawn from its scabbard. Naturally, Godwyn keeps the blade on his person at all times.
  • The Holy Book of Secrets
Godwyn's grimoire contains the sum total of all the wisdom, secrets, and knowledge he has accumulated throughout his long life. Every spell he has ever known is at his disposal and he wanders the cosmos with his owls, always seeking to expand his pages with new and foreign Magic.
  • Sleipnir, The Swiftly Ridden One
Sleipnir is a Phantom Steed from the Fields of Basil and is one of the fastest creatures in Yggdrasil, even faster than the Light of Alfheim. When summoned, Sleipnir can take Godwyn anywhere within the cosmos as long as Godwyn knows where he is going. It requires no spaceship of any sort and is only loyal to its master.
  • Hlidskjalf, Throne of the Allfather
Godwyn possesses a great wooden throne called Hlidskjalf that allows him to peer anywhere in the Yggdrasil Multiverse in real time. He can also use it to peer into the past without difficulty. It is housed in the hall Valaskjálf in the center of Ásgard.
  • Gungnir, The Swaying One
Gungnir is a powerful spear gifted to Godwyn from his half-sister Godalupe, the Holy Goddess of the Forge and Fire. The spear will only obey Godwyn and is nigh-indestructible. Any being Godwyn can see, Gungnir will strike true, always. Distance and time are of no consequence, capable of tracking prey across the Realms and once even through time. The spear is not limited to one target and can create duplicates of itself, equally as strong, to hit all marks, always returning to its master.
  • The Head of Mímir
Mímir served as an aged council to King Pinsnaux, the last Empyrean Lord ISHIN created. After Hasadiah defeated him, Mímir was imprisoned in Mímisbrunnr, a Realm at the base of Yggdrasil as ISHIN did not wish to part with the wizard's unrivaled wisdom and knowledge. Bound to the unbreakable bark of Yggdrasil, Mímir was eventually released by Godwyn who cut off his head and carried it at his waist. Mímir taught Godwyn the Furthark Runes and councils him.

Mental characteristics

Accomplishments & Achievements

Sayfan is a master of Magic and Science and is credited with training many legendary Mages, among them his best students are;
  • Myrddin Wyllt (Otherwise known as MERLIN, famous for serving King Arthur and his Round Table. Not one of Sayfan's proudest achievements.)
  • Grigori Y. Rasputin (A legendary mystic who was a fan of queer and arcane magical arts.)

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Godwyn is the Holy God of Wisdom, Peace, and Diplomats. He was charged by his mother Her Grace, Hasadiah the First Name of God to serve as the Head of Diplomacy within the Holy Order. Godwyn operates under the idea that mutual benefit makes the Order stronger rather than submission through fear, an approach his mother seemed fond of. After the Great Elven War, he strived to ensure all the Kingdoms and Empires of the Realms stood to gain more with the Order than without the Order. This occupation has been made easier with his Dynasty, a lineage so vast and wide that he often uses it to broker marriages with potential allies. The bonds of blood are hard to break.

Godwyn had many lovers and concubines as a Holy God and the direct blood of Hasadiah, but he was forced to take a wife during the Great War in Heaven after his mother's death. The high walls of Asgard were challenged by an unceasing horde of Khaos Daemons who, for the first and only time in recorded history, penetrated the walls and laid siege to the Realms of Asgard. Godwyn traveled to Vanaheim to parley with the Queen, Lady Freyja Njordsdottir, for her aid. The Witchcraft of Vanaheim could repel the Daemonik horde, but Freyja only agreed to aid Godwyn on the condition that Vanaheim and Asgard are united through their marriage.
The Aesir and Vanir had been at odds with each other for ages over a series of minor battles and proxy wars waged on account of the Light Elves. The history is long and the blood spilled could fill oceans. The prideful Aesir would never humiliate themselves to seek the aid of a Vanir, but Godwyn valued the lives of his people more than his pride and conceded to her request. The House of Odin and the Royal Vanir Family were joined via their marriage and marked by the birth of the God Hermod, the first of this new lineage.

  • Útgarða "The Trickster" Flóki (Son, 1st of His Name)
Jötunheimr was founded by the three children of Ymir; Bleivrýndr, Þrúðgelmir, and Hrollinðmyd. Þrúðgelmir made his son, Bergelmir, King of Jötunheimr, and his lineage has ruled ever since. Jarl Laufey is not of Þrúðgelmir's line but rather Bleivrýndr's, the Útgarða line who ruled the 3rd arm of the Kingdom. Godwyn, before he was truly the King of Asgard, was wed to Laufey and sired his son Flóki. When Godwyn and Laufey separated, Prince Flóki elected to accompany his father to Asgard as an Aesir, where he made a general nuisance of himself.
  • The Nine Daughters of Ægir and Rán (Concubines)
  • Heimdall (Son)
The Jötunar Jarl Ægir, younger brother to Queen Laufey, and a Minor Goddess of Aund MISJUN had Nine Magical Daughters; Blóðughadda, Bylgja, Bára, Dúfa, Hevring, Himinglæva, Hrönn, Kólga, and Uðr.
  • Gríðr Hömr (Concubine)
  • Víðarr "The Silent" Hömr (Son, 1st of His Name)
A Jötunar of little renown, Gríðr hails from a Jötunar outpost and was granted a place in Sayfan's hall after bearing him a son. Víðarr the Silent is a Godling who has never spoken his entire life, not even when he was born did the infant whine or cry. This is in opposition to his mother's more vehemence personality. Sayfan has grown fond of the silent son and often employs him for some of his more secretive operations as Víðarr is often so easily overlooked.
