Physical Description

General Physical Condition

In his youth, Zyrell towered over mere men with broad shoulders and a full head of rich hair. He held his head high and walked with a certain purpose that mad eothers want to follow him. His light blue House colors trailed behind him and his honors were displayed on his brestplate, as proof of his title and rank.

Special abilities

• Gravity Manipulation

The Fodjour House was notorious for its queer ability to manipulate gravity, the force that draws things together. But what set this power apart was its application on a metaphysical level. A prime example of this metaphysical gravity is one of their prized spells, "Blessings of the Old Saint", which only allowed 'good' and 'fortunate' things, people, and events to draw near them, violently pushing away everything else. In this manner, it would almost seem as if the Fodjours were protected by some mystical force that favored their line as all manner of misfortune never landed at their feet. This power could also be used on a very basic level to make physical blows far heavier than normal.

• Black Hole Manipulation

A technique Zyrell loved to employ was his personal Black Holes, an ability he mastered like no other. Through years of training and study, he became so skilled and so precise with his Black Holes that he could deploy them without suffering damage to non-targets. They were useful when battling stronger opponents as even many Gods struggled to deal with a Black Hole, let alone serval of them all at once.

• Twisted Fate (Twin Akrafena Swords)

Twisted Fate refers to a set of Akrafena swords far too massive to be carried by mere mortals used by Zyrell. They were nigh-unbreakable and demanded not only immense physical strength but immense mental might to wield. But, if mastered, they allowed for one to dish out unrivaled levels of destruction powerful enough to shake a planet to its very core.

Personal history

Zyrell was born into Imperial House Minor-Fodjour, Mages favored by the Crown for their impressive Gravity manipulation techniques and spells. Zyrell was born to Jafari Fodjour and one of the many concubines he kept at his side. When he was a boy, Jafari died without ever siring a child with his wife, Mwanajuma, resulting in a civil war among the bastards for the right to lead the House.

Zyrell, however, took no part in the war, having been marooned on a dead ice planet where he was found and taken as a ward of Lord Hayabusa Mamiko of The Order of the Dragons Head. Mamiko took a liking to the boy and trained him on Mountain with her son, Josefumi.

"Do not speak to me of war and carnage and loss, boy. You were not there, during that great war fought in heaven all those ages ago ... entire galaxies burned in turmoil, and machines of war that could dwarf a Realm in size tore through the cosmos. Oceans upon oceans of blood poured through the cracks in the crust of worlds like pus escaping an open wound ... How many died? How many worlds and realms and lands were burned to ash and cinder and dust? Decillion upon decillions of SOULs screamed in the cold night for a savior to deliver them from this evil, in which they played no part in. They didn't ask for this war, they didn't seek to greedily hold The 7 Sacred Seals or usurp God. But the War and the Daemons and Angels and the Soldiers came regardless, and all were put to the sword ... Even my beloved. Tell me, Skyburner, if the one you loved most in the cosmos died in your arms, would you stay your hand? If your precious son died choking on his own blood, would you still be so righteous? When your dear daughter, clawing at her skin as if to expose maggots from under the surface, burned in agony, pleading for her father to save her, would your honor still hold? ... I bet it's real easy to stand there and judge me wrong, to call me a false god and usurper, to look down on me from atop a high horse you only ride because of my actions! I ask you again Bālthazar, by what right do you dare to judge me guilty!?"

The Great War in Heaven was long and bloody, countless Mortals were lost in the fray and the Dragon Knights were pushed to their limit. Zyrell had tried to escape the war after giving so many years of his life to the fight, but in time the war followed him and visited misery upon his family. The same misery that was consuming Yggdrasil. And so, Zyrell committed a great sin. He stole The Sacred Seal of Unity and bound all of Creation to fate, to end a war that had no end. Name him traitor or usurper, but his actions saved the Realms from desolation.

The Grand Cross

After King Arthur was expelled from the Realms by his half-sisters near the start of the Great War in Heaven, the Dragon's Head Knights were led by Morgana le Fay, but her schemes and plots with other forces left the Order vulnerable. It was Zyrell and his battle-brother Josefumi who took the order and organized the defense of Midgard, waging war on Morgana to install Zyrell as the new Grand Cross.

After defeating Izanami-no-Mikoto at the Bossom of Cladia, Zyrell claimed the Seal of Unity during the Great War in Heaven. With this new power, he made the Chains of Fate and brought all of Yggdrasil under his command. It is this series of events that ended the Great War in Heaven but also brought the cosmos to a standstill. Yggdrasil pulled for all things to move in a certain way and Zyrell pulled the other way, bringing the very stars to a stalemate.

Contacts & Relations

• Hayabusa Josefumi

Josefumi was trained on Mountain with Zyrell, and they considered each other battle brothers. Josefumi and Zyrell were always sided by sides, nothing came between them and even when Zyrell left to live a peaceful life with his wife Sipatu and their children, Josefumi served in his place. However, this changed after Zyrell's family died during the Great War in Heaven. He went on a rampage that ended with him cornering The Sacred Seal of Unity, with only Josefumi between them. Josefumi, the ever dutiful, tried to reason with his brother but Zyrell, the ever emotional, had lost far too much to reason. A fight ensued, and Josefumi was defeated. Though he survived, somehow, and aided the hero Billy in defeating Zyrell, sitting with his brother one last time before he died.

Jafari had no connection to Zyrell, just one of his many bastards born out of wedlock. His mother Varkala was an exceptional performer with one of the most beautiful voices in the cosmos. Most of his childhood was spent with her until the civil war broke out in his House, claiming her life.

Zyrell had two children with his wife Sipatu during the Great War in Heaven, the war had dragged on for ages and soon the old Knight grew tired of the endless fighting and sought to retire to a Realm somewhere in the infinite cosmos. He only got to briefly taste the simple life before the war followed him and in the madness, his family was taken from him.

Religious Views

Zyrell has killed so many gods he no longer sees them as anything other than people. The esteem that once surrounded them is gone and all he can think of them as parasites or fanatics. Regardless, he prays to no deity and bends no knee to their temples. He saw what these gods were really made of during the War in Heaven. When it comes down to it, with his sword on their necks, and any one of these Gods will plead and bargain for their life just like us Mortals. There is noting special about them that warrants worhsip.
