Tears of Ubtao

Mbalan legends say that the god Ubtao wept with joy when his children discovered the lands of Marakuru. Those tears fell to the earth as falling stars and landed near the Mbalan plateau. The people of Mbala then mined the earth around the plateau, eventually finding some of the Tears, which they used to fashion important and powerful relics of their civilization, most notably Nyemba's Might.
As a raw ore, the Tears possess levitational and electrical properties, with lightning often seen arcing across its surface. The ore can also exude a yellowish liquid that can be used to power clairvoyant magics.
