Starting Level
Players will have the opportunity of starting between level 3-6 (as of 01SEP21) as makes sense for your character concept. You may also be granted additional items or feats to keep your character balanced with existing characters. This will be discussed with the DM at character creation.
Playable Races
Humans (very common)
Elves (uncommon-very rare) (Tenari- Uncommon, Runidiri- Rare, Saeli- Very Rare)
Halflings (uncommon)
Dwarves (uncommon)
Gnomes (very rare)
**If you would like to use a different character race than the stat block that would be optimal for you, this is generally fine, but please consul the DM first.
Classes
All classes should be playable, however they should all be run by the DM first, even if a player is just taking a multiclass level of it. This is especially true of classes or specializations from other universe (ie. Psionics from FR or Echo Knight from Wildemont).
Leveling Up
Generally we will be using the milestone system to level up. You may not always gain a level or feat after each session, this is especially true after level 5. It may be common as well different characters to gain different milestones after a session, this is to keep some balance between the characters of players that play at different frequencies. The DM will ensure that there is a reasonable power balance between all player characters.
Character Backstory
As a general note, this is speaking to the story of your character which is different than your characters Background ability.
Blank Slate: Blank slate characters tend to be younger characters with little world experience. If you want to build your character in the world, this is the best option. You will need to have a general idea of the characters personality but the DM will help you fill in what bonds you might have in the game.
Established Character: If you have a strong concept for what sort of character you want to play and just need help placing them in the world. As time goes on and you become more familiar with the world there will be less need for DM input.
Mysterious Character: If you have an idea of a character concept but you want there to be more to your character that they don't know about themselves. The DM will have a lot of input in the backstory and allow for some otherwise secret information to be shared.
