Elijah d'Orien (a.k.a. Fastest wizard of Khorvair)
Elijah grew up in Q’Barra where his father (David d’Orien) built magically powered stage coaches for trade caravans between the Talenta Planes and Q’Barra. As a young boy he fell into mechanics and loved tweaking things till they where perfect. When he got older he left his father's house to learn more magic and went to Cyre for study. Not the most amazing Spire of Knowledge but he learned a lot about time and probability manipulation there. Having learned all there was to learn he moved towards Aundaire. But due to the war he got stuck in Thrane, making due with the Spire of Knowledge there.
During his travels he found the Silver Flame and it helped him find kinship that he had not felt since leaving his home 20 years ago. He started helping them with some inventions to aid in troop movements using the amazing talents of House d’Orien. The people of Thrane where a feisty proud lot, and for Elijah them winning the war might get him closer to the Spire of Knowledge he deserved.
He was sent on a mission with a group of individuals to retrieve a torch. While retrieving the torch they found another silver flame. They all walked through it giving them longer life spans. Elijah currently looks like he's in his late 50's.
After the events leading to the death of Baxon Hawk, Cissa asked him to escort Jossea Mer out of Thrane towards Aundair under the cover of night is his carriage. This would be the last time he set foot in Thrane.
When the war ended, Elijah started traveling once more. Joining his old friends on the path. Doing small tasks here and there for them and moving people around unseen.
Elijah is exceptionally fast. He nearly always has an animated companion help him while he is doing his work. His favorites are Hat Daggery or Hat Monica. He uses his hat as a casting focus, carries several spell books in holsters and is often seen looking at his timepiece.
