Dragon Relations with Other Clans

The Dragon clan share a kinship with both the Raven clan and the Elk clan in their wanderlust, and often embed themselves with Raven caravans or Elk herds for months or years at a time. Sometimes their hosts are invited to join the Dragon clan, although the criteria for receiving such an invitation is difficult to pin down at best and varies from Dragon to Dragon.
In both magical knowledge and technological interests, the Dragon share a great deal in common with the Owl, and even before the time of clans there was much collaboration between those two peoples. The Dragon traded magical secrets, including new techniques of magically changing form, for the divinations and prophecies of the Owl.
Expansionist-minded Wolf Jarls face a seemingly insurmountable problem when assessing the Dragon lands. The Wolf generally rely on rivers to strike deep in the heart of their intended target lands - and yet the Dragon only have one major river that connects to their territory, defended by the forbidding fortress that is Splitsbonn. Land approaches are no more appealing, as it is relatively easy for Dragon lords to ally with local Elk herds to take advantage of the wide-open terrain.
