Giantfolk Neighbors
The Owl clan and their ancestors attempted to maintain good relationships with all the giant-kin. The giants of old and the nogdrun were often the greatest sages and teachers, but the wars of the Brightsword made interacting with these giants difficult.
The lesser ogres and minotaur are treated with a mixture of pity and patronization; if one of those two peoples can be redeemed, it is sure to be an Owl to be the one to do it.
The Owl have had only distant and spotty interactions with centaurs, largely because the centaurs do not spend much time or effort in the creation of beautiful things.
The disappearance of the kinter was met with great sadness by the Owl. While the sticky-fingeredness of the kinter could be frustrating for Owl craftsmen, it was the Owl who truly appreciated the joy and light they brought to the Sjonderwold. Travellers to and from Bear lands and Owl lands have brought news of the kinterskral to the Owl, giving hope to the Owl elders that the race of cheerful small folk yet remain.
Given their welcoming and relatively friendly relationships with the giant-folk, it is not surprising that the lands and settlements of the Owl are home to some of the highest concentrations of giant-folk in the Sjonderwold outside of the Dragon clan. It is more common that not to find elves, dwarves, and gnomes mixed in with an Owl community.
