Peerless Craftsmen

The Owl’s reverence of nature and dedication to preserving its beauty even after it passes through their hands makes them the foremost craftsmen of the Sjonderwold. While one might expect a tool from a Bear to be sturdy, an Elk to be light, or a Dragon to be clever and ornate, only an Owl tool will be all of those and crafted with such skill that the simplicity of its style belies its strength, weight, or design. Some say that an Owl tool will pass on to its user some of the skill of its maker, while others swear that they can feel the warmth and strength of the land flowing through the haft of their tool.
The unsurpassed craftsmanship of an Owl tool makes it a prize outside of their lands, but it is that same adherence to quality that makes it a rare prize as well. Most Owl craftsmen find it difficult to understand why they should make more than they personally can use, beyond perhaps the occasional gift.
Years of trading and deals with the Wolfand other clans have brought the concept of a surplus inventory to the Owl, but the adoption of this idea is still a slow process. Thus, while Owl tools can work for generations, replacing them can be an arduous and frustrating quest once they break. The Raven, ever the opportunists and merchant middlemen, seek to bring Owl crafting quality to more of the Sjonderwold.
