The Waking War

This conflict was originally between Land of Aginrese and Confederacy Capital Continent. It occurred before the Confederacy formed. As well as, before and during the Scale Rot plague on Sky Sovereigns and the Aginrese people. It is called the "Waking War" due to it being the catalyst for the formation of the Confederacy and the rise of the First Ruler of the Skies or First Pirate King.
The Aginrese people, with their Sky Sovereins and Dragonsingers needed more resources to maintain their peoples. These resources were vital, so they decided to expand their territory. They launched a campaign on the tribes that preceded the Confederacy. With the Aginrese's aerial superiority and greater firepower, the tribes stood little chance.
In the Lost Kingdom news of the conflict was brought by passing skyships. Every day there would be a new tale of areas razed, villages devastated, people captured. Every day more destruction, more death. The Pirate King was a compassion sort. They heard these tales and wanted to help. They petitioned their family to aid the tribes but was rejected in each manner they tried. Finally, sick of their family turning a blind eye to this tragedy, the Pirate King set out to make a difference themselves.
The Pirate King gathered like-minded people and crews to start executing hit and run attacks on the Aginrese supply line. This caused the Aginrese offense to become disordered temporarily. The tribes took this time to salvage themselves and their losses. It gave them time to reach out to each other and plan defensives.
The Pirate King, through cunning and might, managed to unite all the outlaws, outcasts, and bandits under their banner. They rallied the underground society into aiding the tribes by turning privateers. The band pillaged supply conveys and depots, razed outposts, and destroyed ships who flew Aginrese colors. As well as, meeting with, transporting, and aiding tribe-members. Their actions threw the Aginrese into disarray which was worsened by the beginning of the Scale Rot plague.
The tribes called a Gathering in the pause. It is at this moment that the tribes pledged to unite for the defense of their people and land. The formation of the nascent Confederacy. This united force took advantage of the Aginrese's disorganization and launched a great counter-offensive. With great effort, the tribes were able to cease the Aginrese campaign and negotiate an armistice. Eventually the Aginrese retreated back to their homeland.
The united tribes went on to become the Confederacy, whilst the First Ruler of the Skies had to learn and manage their new responsibilities.
