Ciri , Childeater (a.k.a. Hungering Teddy Bear)

"Look how adorable you are! And how brave! You came all alone into these woods. How foolish you are. But worry not, no dangerous monster will eat you or hurt you. You are save with me, so come to me and let me give you a nice cuddle." Ciri to a lost soul in her woods.

The Legend

The legend is old and comes from small villages on the island of Keylo in the Sylvan Lands. Any child and any adult there know the legend of Ciri Childeater. Parents tell the story of Cici to convince the children to not enter the forest without a trusted adult. Even though the purpose is to encourage the children to behave and not enter the forest, the story does stem from the dangers of the forest and the countless cases of missing children that had been reported in the newspaper. This is the Legend as it is currently told:   “Deep, deep in the forest lives a monster. A giant teddy bear that lures children and adults alike into her paws. She lives in a house made of wood and plush and everyone who dares to enter her house is never seen again.”   How old this legend is unknown to the living people of the village. There are rare stories of how people could get away from the plushie. Most of them left a friend or partner in the fangs of the monster and ran alone out of the forest. The information about Ciri came all from these people. Little is known about Ciri’s house deep in the forest. It is completely covered in plush and the windows are not transparent, making it impossible to look inside. The only thing that is known is that nobody that ever got in there came back to the villages.   Rare rumors tell about people who swear they have seen Ciri with a child that had been reported missing. They were walking hand in hand or the child was being carried by Ciri. The prey of Ciri looked happy and calm, covered in plushy clothing. Some wear only plushy shirts or pants, others full-body plush suits of different animals. Some people even swear they saw children that vanished many years ago, though they looked as if they never aged. Some even reported about missed adults that were seen in their childhood years again. People often question the truth behind these stories and try not to spread them.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Ciri is a giant plushy teddy bear.

Body Features

Her whole being is extremely soft and not many that got into a hug of her ever came back. It is told that most even begin hugging her back and humming happily, so it is assumed that her body has some kind of effect of calm of her prey. Ciri has no organs or anything in her form except the softest plushy material, yet her body is strong and can easily lift adults into the air or even push trees aside.

Facial Features

Ciri's face is a gentle one. One you can trust. Always a smile on her lips and a motherly melody humming. Her big, brown eyes are emitting trust and are calm and caringly. Two big, soft bear ears are on top of her head.

Identifying Characteristics

Ciri is a giant Plush bear girl with a brown and beige pattern. On her belly is a skill symbol.

Physical quirks

Ciri is ultimate cuddly and soft. Being in her arms is a wonderful feeling, a mix of warmth, being protected, and gentleness. But under her soft body is a strong girl. Ciri can easily lift humans in the air, even knights full in armor, and some rumors tell of Ciri pushing trees aside on her chases.  Her big paws are flexible and have a strong grab.

Special abilities

Hypnotic Cuddles

Being cuddled by Ciri can be quite dangerous, as her soft hug presses you against her plush. Being in contact with her plush for several seconds or longer creates a strange, cloudy warmth in your mind, slowly suppressing all will to escape or prevent her from hugging you. Positive emotions grow, especially trust towards Ciri. While children or people who are generally more open to hugs would describe it as a wonderful time and are only strengthened in their positive emotions, people who fight against her undergo a strong mind alteration. The more you fight her cuddles, the stronger the hypnosis will become till there is no will to resist left in you. All, no matter of a simple traveler or experienced knight, resist her cuddles forever, and sooner or later all return the cuddles and enjoy her warmth.

Regressing Plush

Adults who are in contact with Ciri's plush for longer will feel their bodies and minds regressing back to their early teenage years. They do not lose their experiences or memories, but their whole self will become that of a child again. The time required for this regression varies heavily and seems to depend on the willpower of the person and Ciri's own playful mood. It may take weeks in her care or only mere seconds.

Plushification

Ciri is able to plushify everything. She can't create plush out of thin air, but it is not required for her. Trees or even dirt can be turned to colorful plush for her and then formed however she desires. Living beings can also be affected by her plushification and become living plushies similar to herself but lacking her powers. These who became plushy friends of her are seen as her family and generally form a strong bond with her that can never be broken.

Personal history

Lost Girl

Once there was a young girl who lost her path and vanished in the Woods of Whispers. Hours passed and the girl only had her old teddy bear with her to give her bravery against the howling of the night and the hungry shadows that surrounded her. To the girls luck, or unlock, a lost soul from the Pink Mist found her and her teddy bear. The energies and the life of the soul possessed her toy and it grew big enough and strong enough to protect the girl.   The girl thanked her bear girl and Ciri, the name of the teddy bear, inherited the memories of the former toy and was exactly the friend the girl always wanted. She was cuddly, and friendly and protected her against everything the dark forests threw against the two. After days of wandering, Ciri saw that her friend was at the end of her powers and that no cuddles from her could fill her belly. Instinctively, Ciri used the powers that developed in her and were gifted by the pink mist to give her first friend a new form. A plushy form. As a reborn plushy, the girl never hungered and had no fear of the howling of the night anymore. But the plush and the energies also corrupted the girl, letting her believe that Ciri was her only friend and that her former family never searched for her, nor did she want to return to them anymore. Ciri build a house of plush for the two and they decided to stay deep in the woods.

Lost Children

Years passed and Ciri enjoyed her life with her plushy friend. The girl even learned to merge with the plush of the house and Ciri learned how to let her merge with her own plushy body as well. Together, they explored the forests on longer and longer expeditions and soon found their way out of the forest. The meeting with a human village was not warm or pleasant for Ciri, as the villagers only saw a dangerous monster in her. With fire and weapons, they banished the monster back into the woods. Traumatized by the events, Ciri developed an aversion to adults and a new goal grew in her. She began luring children into the woods and then she brought them to her home as new friends for her first friend. Fairy Tales began spreading about her and the people began to explore the woods in search of their children, but nobody was ever able to find them. People, no matter of adults or children, who ventured alone into the woods, was never seen again, as Ciri invited them to her home and make them part of her plushy family.

Sexuality

Ciri has no interest in any sexual context.

Education

The only education Ciri received was stories from children.

Employment

Monster in the woods
Dangerous Beast in Fairytales

Mental Trauma

Most adults only see a monster in Ciri and try to banish her with fire and weapons. Ciri did not understand why she was seen as a monster, but these events let her dislike adults.

Morality & Philosophy

For Ciri, a child is the purest being. They love her cuddles and her presence, and Ciri likes to take care of them. Adults are mean and children that grow up will become mean adults that dislike Ciri and call her a monster. Ciri developed an easy cure for this problem. She abducts children and transforms them into eternal plushies like herself and lets them live with her in her house deep in the woods. Not even adults are safe from her tho, as captured adults will be regressed back to their pure child form before becoming plushies as well. While adults are dangerous and disliked by Ciri, children love her and she loves these children as her family. She does everything to protect her family and never lets anyone go that saw her house and knew its location.

Taboos

Ciri would never hurt a child. Nor would she hurt an adult that does not attack her.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Ciri wants to protect all children. Adults are seen as a danger to herself and for the children and aging is something bad for her. Ciri wishes that all can stay children forever, protected by herself and loved unconditionally. At her core, Ciri is still a giant teddy bear.
