Golem

Written by Drackzahn
A golem is an object that turned to life by a Lost Soul from the Pink Mist. They can be of any form and vary heavily in their characteristics. There are more things that differ them from each other than they have in common. All of them were formerly lifeless objects or even just matter. It can be a children's toy turning to live, or a rock. Even whole areas, like a mountain, may become a golem if a strong enough soul possesses them.
If a lost soul connects itself to a formerly lifeless object, then we call it a golem. A golem is alive by all our understandings, yet it is completely fueled by the energies of the Pink Mist. The stronger the lost soul was and the more time it had to spend traveling through the pink mist, the stronger the golem can be. Golems can either be created naturally, by a lost soul finding its way into the material world through a fissure in the universe, or they can be created by others, forcefully injecting pink mist energies into a lifeless object and having the luck or the skill to inject a lost soul with the pink mist energies.

Golem Species

Some golems possess the ability to either turn others similar to them to life or transform other beings into their own shape like Plush Dogs . It may also be a group of golems that follow the very same characteristics, like Rubber Genies. We group these golems into Golem Species.

Basic Information

Ecology and Habitats

Golems can be found everywhere in the multiverse. The higher the concentration of pink mist is in an area, the higher the population of golems is as well. As most golems can ignore dangerous environmental effects like heavy heat or coldness, you can find them nearly everywhere. Some may life their lives without having any contact with civilization, deep hidden in nature, while others live in towns or close to villages.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Most golems do not require natural food like most species. Instead, they live off the energies of the pink mist itself. There are golems species that additionally gather other types of energies to fuel themselves, like Plush Dogs.

Additional Information

Domestication

Most golems that were created by civilized species become either pets or tools for these people. Golems that are naturally "born" from lost souls often either become similar to wild beasts or while in contact with an advanced civilization, are domesticated by them in some way. A golem often can be a very useful workforce, especially if the golem possesses abilities that extend those of humans. The durability and the near-infinite endurance of golems make them perfect for mundane work. More cuddly golems, or those that have no abilities worth exploiting for work, are used as pets. There are civilizations that also use golems as a military force, creating living machines or constructs to fight their wars.
