Gaia Seed

The term Gaia Seed is a bit misleading, as it is no seed that you simply place into the ground but a general term for many very complex technologies that allow the growth of new life. The word Seed is a simplified term for the non-Angel species. Under these devices are very major forces that can have an effect on a whole galaxy, while others just take effect on a single species on a single planet. The whole package of devices and technologies is called Gaia Seeds, as it seeds new life into the galaxy after the wish of Gaia, the ruler of the angels.

Effect

A Gaia seed has many different effects, depending on what the angels require. First, it has terraform-abilities, which allow it to change a cold, dead rock to a lush world ready for life. Of course, even the angels are unable to change physics, so the planet requires to be in the habitable zone of its sun to contain a life-friendly environment.
The second ability is the most important one, as the Gaia Seed allows the creation of new life, as well as the acceleration of the evolution of existing life forms. Both abilities can be used very precisely, which allows the angels to control what kind of life develops on a planet and what kind of planet will be the result after the terraform.

Impact

The impact of the universe is greater than our minds can imagine. The life that fills the stars is mostly caused by the use of Gaia Seeds. Nearly all intelligent life in our universe was influenced by the seeds, which explains why they are all humanoid. The angels formed a new generation of intelligent species after their image. One reason is that it makes it easier to form the first contact with these new species after their evolution, but also allows all species in the universe to understand each other better. The angels wanted a universe of peace, not one of war and fear. They knew that everyone fears the unknown, so they decided that the first thing that a species sees of intelligent aliens is that they look very similar to themselves.

History

After the War in Heaven, the known multiverse was devastated and void of any life besides the survivors of the Angel species. Gaia, the new absolute ruler of the angels, decided that it was not the right of the angels to repopulate the universe, but it was the time to give a new generation of intelligent life a chance to do it better than the angels. They would watch over the new life and take care that they do not make the same mistakes that the angels did, but otherwise, they would give them the universe.
After many years of research, the Gaia Seeds were created and with them, a new era began. Nearly all life, we know today was created by the Gaia Seeds or at least influenced by them.
