Ungus
Ungus is a Hycean planet approximately five times the size of Earth and serves as the capital of the Free Uriy Commonwealth government. Its importance is much less on a galactic scale although a center of regional trade with the planet serves much more as an administrative and political center.
Demographics
The population is concentrated around seven huge sprawling underwater cities with some structures that go above the water line because the uriy can only breathe under the oceans of their planet. Lugua is the planetary capital and the one of the Commonwealth as well as the largest city on the planet. The diplomatic personnel belonging to other species from other states in the galaxy are present in Ungus's orbit with the embassies being there.
Government
The planetary government is headed by a governor who is appointed by the Leader with the institutions are based in the city of Lugua. This city hosts all the institutions of the Commonwealth like the Liberation Assembly and the Cabinet of the Leader.
Defences
Ungus have an orbital defenses like all uriy planets which is made up of several orbital cannons used to support Commonwealth Navy vessels in the event of an attack. The planet also has many military bases in orbit around the planet which serve as an anchor point for many Commonwealth Navy vessels.
Industry & Trade
Ungus is a major civilian and military production center for the Commonwealth as well as for part of the Myrran Trade Union which purchases part of the vessels. The planet is also a commercial node but of medium importance because the systems in the north do not produce so many resources and only contain a single inhabited planet. The trade flow passing through the system and therefore the planet is average.
Infrastructure
The uriys have particular means of particular transport to travel on their native world adapting to planetary conditions. The most common for intercity trips are submarines placed in pressure tubes in part of the journeys to speed them up and make travel times reasonable. The planets have four spaceports with the largest is located in Lugalu and the same number of orbital stations serving as anchor points for ships that cannot land on the planet.
Architecture
The architectural style of the planet is a mixture between the architecture of the qravadox coming from the period of occupation and the uriy architecture of after the liberation as well as the more recent one. The qravadox have a very square architecture with very straight shapes but this one so much to disappear because of the replacement of aging structures. They are replaced by the uriy architecture which is inspired by sea currents with shapes reminiscent of drops of water.
Geography
The planet is entirely covered with water except towards its northern hemisphere which has four small relatively close continents. This is where the cities are located and so does most of the uriy population who generally live near the coasts.
Natural Resources
The marine fauna is very rich which is used to produce a very large quantity of food which is exported everywhere. However, the planet is generally devoid of other resources given its size and the depth of its oceans which prevent it from reaching its rocky heart which is itself covered by a thick layer of exotic ice called ice 5.
