Fancy Plate

To mark their ascendency to the noble caste, goblins often commission the forging of a set of fancy plate. This armor not only mark their status, it also helps increase their chance their survival. For this reason the armor is enchanted with spells of protection, most typically against fire. This is because many nobles wield fireslams, whose ability to spray flaming liquid does put the wielder at a bit of a risk.
The armor is typically engraved with depictions of important moments in the history of the noble's hive, as well as featuring small tokens that represents import, such as gemstones symbolizing virtues they identify with or metals that have played an important role in their economy.

Manufacturing process

The basic armor is forged. Then details are added, alongside any extra bits and bops the particular noble might desire. At the end of this process, the armor is enchanted for further protection.
