Fancy Royal Plate

Fancy royal plate is a step up from the fancy plate. This extremely heavy armor takes great strength to even wear, as it otherwise risks crushing the one inside. This sturdy design makes it incredibly hard to damage, let alone breach. The insides, however, are so plush and soft that one could conceivably sleep in it, which is not an unheard of necessity in an dire strait. Its enchantments protects the wearer from various elements. Earth and fire are the most common, but some queens have requested different protections.
The armor is considered symbolic of the culmination of the hive's success. Images depicting great events, samples of minerals that have brought riches and other such things makes the queen a walking history book for the hive's greatness, and by extension her own success as queen. Goblin queens will often compare their armors when they meet, analyzing them to note each other's strengths and weaknesses. While often embellished to show things favorable, rarely are any of the things outright fabrications, as a queen having to prop herself up with lies is considered a queen unable to lead her hive to greatness.

Manufacturing process

The basic armor is forged, then additional details and embellishments are painstakingly added. Finally, the armor is enchanted with protective spells.

Fancy royal plate is a mark of status for a goblin queen signifying her importance to her hive. The more elaborate and decorated iti s, the better the health of the hive, a point of pride for any queen.
