Kingdom of Suqara
The Kingdom of Suqara sprang up in the wake of The War of Broken Chains, when the voctorious slaves demanded three wishes from the imprisoned jinn elders and recompense for the centuries of slavery. The first wish was for the construction of a great city, which would become known as Suqara. Division spread among the slaves, as some felt that relying upon the jinn-wrought city cheapened their victory. Those who felt thusly parted on friendly terms, laying the foundation for the Qawramal.
This who stayed founded the Kingdom of Suqara, with the rebel leader Miska becoming the first queen. With their great city, the Suqarans soon blossomed into a powerful nation, founded on the values of cooperation, faith and boldness. The vast richess the jinn had given them allowed them to kickstart a mercantile network that would allow vast ammounts of ressources to flow in and out of the kingdom, ensuring its coffers would be bulging with riches and no Suqaran would lack for anything.
Structure
Asawira: Armoured cavalry. They and their mounts are trained to manouver on the shifting sands and to endure the punishing heat. In this capacity, they serve as a highly mobile and highly powerful arm of the Suqaran military. Most of them worship the war god Miaephon.
Askari: Footsoldiers of Suqara. They are skilled at hand-to-hand combat, but also fight at long range with their dreaded jinn guns, enchanted rifled designed to dispell the fiery essence of the jinn. Most of them are Frigga worshippers.
Binder: Highly educated, these high-ranking agents of Suqara are taught the art of ensaring the essence of jinns in objects, allowing the wielder to command the fiery beings. The majority of them worship the sister deities Frigga and Freyja.
Explorer: At the forefront of their trade network, explorers travel to new lands to find new buisness oppertunities, be that in the form of new trade partners or valuable ressources.
Finders: Veteran adventurers skilled in the locating and acquisition of items of note at all stages, from deciphering the location to actually acquiring.
Mawali: Ex-convicts who have served their sentence in the dreaded prison of Fida who have proven themselves redeemed. Their bodies hardened by labour and their souls softened by humility, they are admired by their fellow citizens for turning their lives around. As the only people who are sent to Fida are those who cause severe harm to fellow citizens or worse, most have grim pasts.
Merchants: As a mercantile kingdom, merchants are the gears that keep the kngdom spinning. As economy and religion are deeply intwined, proper Suqaran merchants are also clergy, most representing the deity Opes.
Ophidian Acolytes: Following in the footsteps of Jafar al-Kazi, these people seek to escape the dreaded Black Rot by slowly shedding their humanity in service to the goddess Maya. To do so, they lead scholarly lives of contemplation and study. Many serve as advisors to the nobility of Suqara.
Sharper: These rogues practice their skills of deception and manipulation against the cleverest people they can find. No mere pick-pockets, sharpers do it for the art. They thus occupy a weird position in Suqaran society, as respected for their skill and dedication as they are disdained for their antics.
Timariot: Masterful horse-archers, who use their deadly aim to harry the enemies of Suqara in camapigns of mobile warfare. Most of them are didicated to the godess Maya.
Treasure Hunter: The sands of Suqara are filled with ancient ruins and the treasure hunters are the skilled adventurers who succeed at retreiving them. As coin is not hard to earn in Suqara, most hunt items of a more unique nature, be they historical relics or magical curios.
Culture
Unity and faith. These are the core values of Suqara, held up as the two things that allowed humanity and their allies to break the chains of jinn enslavement and free themselves.
Unity to Suqaran means an inherent responsibility to look out for your fellows. There's a large focus on hospitality, forgiveness, generosity and kindness. Even the royalty is held to these standards, which has helped ensure they funnel the kingdom's wealth into its people.
Faith is the devotion to higher power. Most parts of Suqaran society is sponsored by at least one deity and many Suqarans, even those without clerical training, demonstrate boons received for their faith. During The War of Broken Chains, the rebelling slaves prayed for any help in their campaign and many in turn received blessings. Suqarans have repaid this ever since by maintaining good relations with a number of divine figures.
Public Agenda
Primarily maintaining the well-being of its people. However, as Suqara's trade network has expanded, they have more andm ore begun considering other nations to be siblings in spirit if nothing else. As such, the royalty has begun implementing plants to help foster similar cultures to their own, with mixed success. While they helped the nation of Bashran gain their footing, it also lead to the rise of The Church of Coins.
Assets
The vastness of the wealth of Suqara cannot be understated. The jin gave them a considerable amount as reperations for the war and the amount has only increased since, allowing the kingdom to fund infrastructure, a standing army and a host of other things. Furthermore, the close relationship Suqara has with their deities means that even common citizens can be armed with divine blessings. These rewards for faith lends the kingdom an edge where mortal means fail.
History
In 1885 AIT, with the end of The War of Broken Chains, the jinn leaders were forced to perform three wishes for their former slaves as penance. The first wish was the construction of the city of Suqara, to be furnished with all the necessities required and all the riches desired.
Demography and Population
The majority of the inhabitants are the kingdom are Human, most of Suqaran descent, though some Qawramalians and Rishine has also settled there. Ogres also make up a decent amount of the pupulation, the majority being of Eamilan descend. A few jinn have also elected to live in Suqaran lands, enough at least to be noticed. Small amounts of other races have also trickled in from different spheres, but not enough to be statistically significant.
Territories
The Kingdom of Suqara officially claim the stretch of land along the coast of Suqara to the prison of Fida. This include the town of Jhaleed. Unofficially, it also stretches along the coast to the hidden city of Adlan.
This stretch covers a lot of desert, which while technically part of the kingdom, is used by a host of unaffiliated people, such as Qawramalian nomads. Suqara alows these people free passage through their territory as a matter of courtesy and cooperation.
Military
Suqara has a standing army. They are well-equipped, often with enchanted weaponry to lend them an edge against magical beings, and empowered by boons granted by various deities. They have proven themselves in battle against both desert raiders and jinn incursions, though has never been tested in any major military engagement.
Technological Level
With its high level of education and great amount of ressources, Suqara has access to some of the most advanced technologies commonly available, especially in the art of metallurgy and ship-building. Their trade network also allows them to quickly bring in new technologies as they spread., with automobiles and films being the latest inventions to reach their shores.

Foreign Relations
The Kingdom of Suqara strives to maintain positive relationships with its tradepartners and neighbours. They are on good footing with both the Qawramalian Nomas and Rishinile. However, due to both historic animosity and accusations of misuse of power on both sides, their relationship with the Jinn Tribes have been dicey since the kingdom's inception.
Abroad, the kingdom has very close connections with Bashran, who they supported heavily in their early years, allowing the nation to gain stability and prominence in Vastiaria. They have a disdainful attitude for the Church of Coins, but are forced to deal with them in order to maintain trade in Megatropolis.
Laws
Copies of all laws are kept in the royal archives, overseen by the ophidian acolytes. One of the more peculiar aspects of Suqaran law is that crimes of property, such as theft, vandalism and so on, is punished lightly compared to other nations. Crimes against people, such as assault, murder and worse, has much harsher sentences.
Suqara does not have a death penalty. The worst punishment is to be sent to the prison of Fida, which does amount to a deat hsentence for many of the people sent there. Or in the case of jinn, to be bound and forced to pay penance with wishes.
Agriculture & Industry
Great plantations and fields are dottedt hrought the fertile land surrounding the city of Suqara. The harbours of the capital is home to many fishers, who daily bring in their catches. The prison of Fida is the largest forge in the land, producing thousands of items with the ore harvested from the deep mines below.
Trade & Transport
Massive numbers of trade caravans move across the vast derserts of the land, bringing supplies back and forth between the kingdom and neighbouring civilizations. Ships with navigator handle most of the off-sphere trading and transport.
Education

Infrastructure
As per the wishes of the first Suqarans, the city was made with everything needed. It has a massive harbour, great cisterns for storing water, large sewers for waste and great walls for protection. A intricate, yet simple netwrok of roads allow for easy internal transport. The city has strived to maintain these standards in any expansions of their capital.
