Arkhea

Meaning “Ancient Lands” in the Elváen tongue, Arkhea is the name of the legendary lost continent in the southern and western hemisphere of the world where the earliest sentient life appeared on the planet. It is the location of the legendary garden of Elvala and the Mountain of God. It is the only continent in the western and southern hemispheres.

Geography

In The Age of Spirits, Arkhea was known to be a lush and fertile land, filled with a multitude of life-forms found nowhere else in the world. At the time of the Cataclysm, and the years thereafter, the lands were reduced to barren mountians and devastated plains.

Fauna & Flora

On the continent of Arkhea, complex life-forms here developed in the form of creatures having two lower hind-limbs (legs), two lower fore-limbs (arms), two upper fore-limbs (usually wings), and a prehensile tail. Such creatures originated nowhere else in the world.
