Grenton
From his orphaned youth, Grenton was raised a Cleric of Onscra and follower of Ukko, in the service of the High Keeper Trolan. It was only later in life that he learned he was a son of the woman Kurkama, who was also mother of Damiar Guthane and Gavin Randall.
As an adventurer, Greton came to wear the Circlet of the Crucible and carried a diahrzite crystal mace. He attracted the attention of one of the elemental Spriggans he named "Hoonter" and rode a Greyfyn flying tiger. Having been rescued from execution in Onscra, he was trained by the Nymphodae "Daughters of the Butterfly" where he took on the name Markesh.

Personal history
Grenton's story begins with the Great Quest as he set forth from the Greenwood Elvenhearth in 3234, with Marshal Reneslar and Vitrem of Bonetra, to rejoin two halves of an ethereal stone that had fallen from the sky -- discovered years earlier by two Jötun brothers of the north, princes Thrym'n and Grantuk.
Sent by King Thellernath of the Fae, the party carried with them the ancient Circlet of the High Keeper, the Great Sword Elnar and the ethereal Boots of Celleth Earanil. The three travelers ventured through Greenwood, to Galia, where they were joined by the Etheric Elicia and the warrior Scalam. They continued upriver, through a Sauran-patrolled swamp, and on to city of Port Hansra. Here in the labyrinth below the streets, Scalam died at the hands of were-rats, who had led the party into a trap. They were rescued by the Saurian Captain Pholerus, and brought aboard his swanship Gidira. It was on this ship that they met the Fae princess Panareitha on her way to Oriliath.
After an attack by Karshan forces and ship-wreck in the Midrun Sea, the party rescued an etheric named Vrotona, who had been cursed to take the form of a ship. Later, on board ship Vrotona, the party was sent back in time through a “temporal hurricane” to the past. The party was able to make landfall on the Thrau sub-continent of Menoris as it was in 3220 SR.
While in the past, the party met a woman named Geneanne, and befriended the tiger-like Windriders who came to serve as their flying mounts. Grenton married Geneanne, who later bore him the child Ukkasen. With her assistance the party returned to the year 3228 SR.
The party headed north to the capital of the northern Jötun realms. While in the ancient ruins of Talen'kenk Orlal, they recaptured the Stone of Fire from Tarect, and continued north to defeat King Thrym'n himself. By rejoining the Stones of Fire and Ice, the ethereal power of the stones was nullified.
While in the northlands, Grenton also made contact with the nomadic Kainen people. When the party returned to their homeland, they became renowned as local heroes.
